TV Beds for 43 Inch TVs

Every bed on this page is rated to carry a 43-inch television in the footboard. It's the size most people want in a bedroom: big enough to watch properly from the pillow, small enough that the lift mechanism and the footboard stay in proportion to the bed.

Will my 43" TV actually fit?

Three numbers decide it, and screen size is only one of them.

  • Screen size. 43 inches is measured corner to corner, so a 43" set is about 96cm wide. Our 43-inch beds take a screen up to roughly 98cm wide and 58cm high.
  • Depth. This is the one people miss. The screen sits inside the footboard housing, so it cannot be thicker than 9cm. Most modern flat screens are well under that; older sets and some panels with chunky rear housings are not.
  • VESA pattern. The four mounting holes on the back of your TV need to be 100mm or 200mm apart. Nearly every 43" TV sold in the UK is one or the other.

Send us the model number through contact and we will confirm the fit before you order — including if the answer is no.

What size room does a 43" TV bed suit?

A 43-inch screen is comfortable from about 1.7 to 2.5 metres away, which is the distance from pillow to footboard on a double or king bed. In a smaller room, a single TV bed with a 32-inch screen is the better fit. If the bed faces across a larger room, look at the wider frames in super king TV beds.

Questions

Is the TV included?

Not unless the product page says so. The bed arrives with the lift, bracket and remote fitted, and you supply the television. If it's in the room on delivery day, our team clips it on and tests it with you at no charge.

What happens if I buy a bigger TV later?

Stay within the 43-inch and 9cm depth limits. An oversized screen overhangs the footboard, loads the lift arms off-centre and will eventually fail — and it voids the guarantee on the mechanism.

Where do the cables go?

Inside the footboard housing. There's a cable channel with enough slack for the full travel and a rear access panel for HDMI and power, so a streaming stick lives inside the bed.

Can I have sound as well?

Yes — see surround sound TV beds, which have 2.1, 4.1 or 5.1 speaker systems wired inside the frame.
