About Kinobed
Kinobed makes beds with a television inside them. That is the whole company. We do not make sofas, we do not make wardrobes, and we do not buy in a mechanism and hope.
The problem we set out to fix
A television in a bedroom is either mounted on a wall you did not want to drill, sat on a chest of drawers that is now useless for anything else, or on a bracket that swings out over the bed and looks like a hospital fitting. None of those are good answers in a room that is supposed to be restful.
A TV bed answers it properly — the screen lives inside the footboard and only exists when you want it. The catch, historically, has been the mechanism. The category has a bad reputation because for years it was cheap frames with imported lifts, no serviceable parts and a guarantee that quietly excluded the one component likely to fail.
What we do differently
We guarantee the lift for the same five years as the frame. That single decision shaped everything else: if we have to fix it ourselves, we cannot afford to fit a bad one. The mechanism is specified to 20kg with soft-close at both ends of travel, the control board is a serviceable module rather than a sealed unit, and every lift is tested before the bed leaves the workshop.
Delivery is part of the product
Every bed is delivered and assembled by our own two-person team, in the room you want it, with the packaging taken away. We do not hand this to a pallet network. A 96kg bed with a motor in it is not a flat-pack you leave in a hallway, and it is not an upsell either — it is included. If your TV is in the room on the day, the team will clip it to the bracket and run the lift with you before they go.
Things we will not do
- Sell you a bed rated for a television heavier than the mechanism should carry, however much you want it to fit.
- Quote a delivery date we do not believe. If an order is running long, you are told before you pay, not after.
- Run a permanent sale. A price that is always reduced is not a reduction.
- Invent reviews or sales figures. We are new. When we have owners, you will hear from them and not from us.
- Hide the storage figure. Ottoman bases lose roughly 40% of the foot end to the mechanism housing, and that is on every product page.
Where we are
Kinobed is a UK company. Frames are built and upholstered in our own workshop after you order, lifts are fitted and tested here, and delivery is run by our own teams rather than a third-party pallet network. Company details and our registered address are set out in our Terms of Service.
