Single TV Beds

A single bed with a television built into the footboard. The screen rises on a remote and drops back out of sight, so a small room doesn't lose a wall to a TV bracket or a chest of drawers to a stand.

These are 3ft single frames, 90 × 190cm. They suit box rooms, teenagers' rooms, studio flats and spare rooms that double as a snug.

What size TV fits a single bed?

Single frames are narrower, so the screen housing is narrower too: up to 32 inches on most single beds, maximum 9cm deep, with 100mm or 200mm VESA holes on the back. A 32-inch screen is right for viewing from a metre and a half away, which is the pillow-to-footboard distance on a single. Send us your model number and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Will it fit the room?

Measure three things: the floor space for a 3ft frame, the height of the footboard against a window or radiator, and clearance at the foot if the bed also has ottoman storage that lifts. Each product page gives the exact frame dimensions, which are larger than the mattress because of the upholstery and the lift housing.

Storage as well as a screen

Questions

Is a single TV bed suitable for a child's room?

The lift stops on resistance, pausing within about 15mm rather than forcing through an obstruction, and the mechanism is enclosed. As with any television in a bedroom, the screen and the remote are yours to manage.

Is the television included?

No. The bed comes with the lift, bracket and remote fitted; you supply the TV. Our delivery team mounts it for you on the day at no charge if it's in the room.

Does it need special wiring?

No — one 13A socket at the foot of the bed powers the lift and the television. The cable runs inside the frame.
