King Size TV Beds

A king size bed with the television built into the footboard. Press the remote, the screen rises to eye level from the pillow; press it again and it drops back inside, leaving a plain upholstered footboard.

King frames take a standard UK king mattress, 5ft × 6ft6 (150 × 200cm). It is the size most couples choose: 75cm of width each, against 67.5cm on a double.

Why a king suits a TV bed particularly well

The screen housing sits in the middle of the footboard. On a king frame there is more upholstery either side of it, so the bed looks like furniture rather than a cabinet with a mattress on top. The extra length also puts the pillow about 2 metres from the screen, which is the comfortable viewing distance for a 43-inch television.

What size TV fits?

  • Up to 43 inches on our king frames — roughly 98cm wide and 58cm high.
  • Maximum 9cm deep. The screen lives inside the footboard, so depth matters more than people expect.
  • 100mm or 200mm VESA mounting holes on the back of the TV.

Send us the model number through contact and we will confirm before you order. See all TV beds that take a 43-inch screen.

Measuring the room

A king TV bed needs more than 150cm of floor width. The frame is wider than the mattress because of the upholstery, the footboard is taller than a normal bed because the screen lives in it, and an ottoman base needs clearance at the foot to lift. Each product page gives exact frame dimensions, and the headboard height — worth checking against a low window sill.

Storage underneath

Most of these beds have an ottoman base that lifts on gas struts. The TV mechanism takes roughly the foot end of the base, so you get the full width and about 60% of the length — still enough for spare bedding and out-of-season clothes. If storage matters more than the screen, see king size ottoman beds instead, where the whole base lifts.

Questions

Is a UK king the same as a US king?

No. A UK king is 150 × 200cm, closest to a US queen. Buy a UK king mattress for these frames — see our mattresses.

Is the TV included?

Not unless the product page says so. The lift, bracket and remote come fitted; you supply the television, and our delivery team mounts it for you on the day at no charge.

Can I have sound built in too?

Yes — see surround sound TV beds with 2.1, 4.1 and 5.1 systems wired inside the frame.

How long does it take to arrive?

Five to ten working days. Each bed is built after you order, in the size and fabric you choose, then delivered and assembled in your room by our own team.
