Super King TV Beds

Our largest TV beds: 6ft super king frames with the television built into the footboard, and in most cases an ottoman base that lifts for storage.

A super king takes a standard UK super king mattress, 6ft × 6ft6 (180 × 200cm) — 90cm of width each for two people, the same as a single bed each.

Before you order a super king

• Measure the room, not the mattress. The frame is wider and longer than 180 × 200cm once upholstery and the screen housing are counted. Mark it out on the floor with tape and check you can still open wardrobes and doors.
• Check the way in. Our team carries the bed in and assembles it in the room, so stairs, landings and turns matter. The parts are long — commonly around 2 metres.
• Leave clearance at the foot for the screen to rise and, on an ottoman base, for the platform to lift.

Does a 43-inch screen look small on a 6ft bed?

An honest answer: on a 6ft frame a 43-inch screen is in proportion when you're watching from the pillow, about 2 metres away, but it sits in a wider expanse of footboard than it would on a double. The limits are fixed by the mechanism — up to 43 inches, maximum 9cm deep, 100mm or 200mm VESA — because an oversized screen loads the lift arms off-centre and eventually fails. If a bigger picture matters more than hiding the screen, a wall-mounted TV is the better buy; we say so in TV bed or wall-mounted TV.

Storage

Questions

Will a super king fit through a standard door?

The frames break down for access and most parts pass through a 76cm doorway. Tell us at checkout if you have a narrow Victorian staircase, a tight turn or a loft conversion, and we will check before the build.

Is the TV included?

No, unless the product page says so. The lift, bracket and remote are fitted; you supply the television and we mount it on delivery day at no charge.

Can I have surround sound in a super king?
