Super King Ottoman Beds

Super king ottoman beds take a standard UK super king mattress, 6ft by 6ft6 (180 × 200cm). It's the largest bed we make, and the biggest storage base: the whole area under a 6ft mattress lifts up on gas struts. That's room for spare duvets, pillows and out-of-season clothes for the whole household.

Who a super king suits

Couples who want real space. Each sleeper gets 90cm, the width of a single bed. It also suits anyone who shares the bed with a child or a dog, or who simply sleeps better with room to spread out. The trade-off is floor space: a super king frame needs a larger bedroom, with walking room either side and space at the foot for the platform to lift.

Before you order

• Measure the room. Check the frame dimensions on the product page, not just the mattress size. Upholstery and headboards add to both width and length.
• Check the way in. Our team delivers and assembles the bed in the room, so measure stairs, landings and doorways on the route. The bed arrives in parts, but the base and headboard panels are large.
• Plan the lift. Allow space at the foot of the bed to open it, or choose a side-opening model such as the Antoine if the foot is against a wall.

Questions

Will a super king fit in my room?

It depends on the room, not just the bed. Mark out the frame dimensions on the floor with tape before you order, and check you can still open wardrobes and doors around it. If it feels tight, a king size ottoman bed gives most of the benefit in 30cm less width.

Can I lift the bed with a super king mattress on it?

Yes. The gas struts are sized for the platform and a normal mattress. If your mattress is unusually deep or heavy, ask us before you order.
