Sebastian Grand Storage Bed

The Sebastian is the largest bed we make. Its headboard extends well past the sleeping area, framing the wall behind it, and the tall padded panels carry on around the side rails and the broad footboard so the bed reads as one piece from every angle. In teddy bouclé, which has a soft curled surface you notice as soon as you touch it.

The storage

The slatted base lifts from the foot end on a gas-assisted mechanism, with 21.5cm of clear space beneath the slats, and none of it visible when the bed is closed.

Read those widths carefully before ordering: even the double is over 2.6 metres wide, because the headboard runs past the bed on both sides. Mark it out on the floor with tape first.

Made from

Wood and metal internal frame, foam filling, 100% polyester teddy bouclé upholstery. The bed in the photographs is the 5ft King.

Delivery and assembly

Free delivery across mainland UK. It arrives in 3 boxes — the longest about 217cm, the heaviest about 88kg — so stairs, doorways and turns on the landing are worth measuring. Our own two-person team assembles it in your room and takes the packaging away. 5-year guarantee on the frame and lift, 2 years on the upholstery. Mattress not included.

Care

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. Don't use abrasive or chemical cleaners on the bouclé.

Free to mainland UK. Built to order in our own workshop, then delivered by our own team — into the room you choose, assembled, with the lift tested before they leave and the packaging taken away. Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and offshore addresses are quoted separately before you pay.

Five years on the frame and the lift mechanism, and two years on the upholstery. Most faults are fixed by posting you the replacement part; if that will not resolve it, we collect the bed and repair it at the workshop. Both are free, including carriage.

Fourteen days from delivery to change your mind. Our beds are built to order in standard sizes and fabrics, so that right applies in the normal way. We collect free of charge and refund within 14 days of the bed reaching us.

Vacuum upholstery on a low setting and brush velvet in one direction. Blot spills rather than rubbing, and never use upholstery shampoo on a pile fabric. Keep the lift path clear and check the bracket bolts once a year.
