Kimberly Winged Upholstered Storage Bed

The Kimberly is a winged ottoman bed: the headboard wraps around you on both sides, which makes the bed feel enclosed and quiet, and gives you something solid to lean against when you sit up.

The storage

End opening, so the platform hinges at the headboard and lifts from the foot on gas struts, giving 30cm of storage depth under the whole bed. Leave standing room at the foot to open it. Underneath is a sprung solid wood slatted base, on a hardwood and metal internal frame.

• Foot-end height 30cm. The headboard stands 135cm tall — one of the tallest we sell, so check it clears a low window sill or sloped ceiling.

Made from

Hardwood and metal internal frame, foam filling, 100% polyester upholstery. The bed in the photographs is the 5ft King.

Delivery and assembly

Free delivery across mainland UK. It arrives in 3 boxes — the longest is about 221cm, and the heaviest is about 62kg, so check the route in. Our own two-person team assembles it in your room, shows you the lift and takes the packaging away. 5-year guarantee on the frame and lift, 2 years on the upholstery. Mattress not included.

Care

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. Don't use abrasive or chemical cleaners on the upholstery.

Free to mainland UK. Built to order in our own workshop, then delivered by our own team — into the room you choose, assembled, with the lift tested before they leave and the packaging taken away. Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and offshore addresses are quoted separately before you pay.

Five years on the frame and the lift mechanism, and two years on the upholstery. Most faults are fixed by posting you the replacement part; if that will not resolve it, we collect the bed and repair it at the workshop. Both are free, including carriage.

Fourteen days from delivery to change your mind. Our beds are built to order in standard sizes and fabrics, so that right applies in the normal way. We collect free of charge and refund within 14 days of the bed reaching us.

Vacuum upholstery on a low setting and brush velvet in one direction. Blot spills rather than rubbing, and never use upholstery shampoo on a pile fabric. Keep the lift path clear and check the bracket bolts once a year.
